Light and bright

This is my kind of space - I would love to live there! The long unit under the window with the desk at the end is perfect. It's amazing how the yellow draws your eye into the room. I'm sure the bunch of bananas was added to exaggerate this effect in the photo, but I do love the yellow partition, lamp and chair.

I can't imagine ever being unhappy if I lived there. The kitchen in one of my family's homes growing up was yellow and white with big windows and I always felt like that was the happiest room in the house.

I came across this feature in the New York Times and thought you might be interested in taking a look. They feature different apartments and houses often, but I really liked this one. http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2010/02/10/garden/20100211-location-slideshow_index.html

Wouldn't that just be the most inspiring place to work? I would love if my office was that cheerful and airy! Just love the yellow and white together!

Sometimes I think of trading in my 1920s bungalow for a new mod apartment where I can start fresh and decorate in minimal bliss. This is lovely.
