Space of the week: Piou's sweet home

10 Feb 2010

I recently discovered Les petites choses de Piou and totally fell in love with her French home. It's so fresh and happy, and I love that blue sofa! Now I think I want a navy blue sofa.. it's the perfect complement to all the wood.

Its so simple and clean, but with beautiful, whimsical, colorful details. I love the stars on the wall and the perforated light fixture in the kitchen the most. That cat looks so at home on the blue couch I just want to scratch its tummy.

Thanks! Our cat and dog aren't really friendly with one another usually (well, the dog is, but the cat would rather not have the dog around) so I thought I'd save the moment for posterity:) Sophie, our dog, is from the pound so I'm not really sure what she is. Everyone who sees her seems to guess something different. We think maybe Jindo or Chow mix? She's really sweet and friendly with people.

I'm glad you liked the outfit. I bought the tights thinking 'I love green, these are beautiful!' but then when I got them home, I wasn't sure how to wear them. They really bring out the green in the dress though.

Goodness - what a perfect storybook home! It's just where the little kid in me wants me to live when I'm grown up. I think this is my favorite space you've posted yet.
